A mid 19th century painted console table in the Louis XVI style, the pale grey demilune shaped marble top with plain edge over a conforming frieze carved with Greek key pattern and with a rosette on each block, raised on four tapering and fluted supports with bulbous upper sections and terminating in pointed feet, north Italian, circa 1860.
Condition: Overall very good, the table is in good condition with no damage, it stands well with no undue wobbling, the marble, which is later, is in excellent condition, the paint and gilding have had small areas of loss, consistent with age, and overall the table is an excellent example of neoclassical continental furniture with elegant proportions and a pleasing colour.
