A charmingly naive early 19th century oil painting on canvas, depicting a young barefoot girl dressed in a tunic and a brown skirt, carrying a spaniel and a cracked jug, on a path in front of a cottage set in woodland and with drifting clouds, in a carved giltwood and gesso frame. English, circa 1820.
