An early 20th century banker’s desk lamp in steel and Bakelite, the bulbholder set to one side of a steel cowl painted matt black outside and white inside, raised on a chromed shaft set into a square black Bakelite base with chamfered corners, and with a switch to the front, designed by the Bauhaus school of design, Germany, circa 1925.
Condition: Overall very good, the lamp is in very good condition and stands well with no wobbling, the inside of the cowl has some paint loss, otherwise the lamp is in excellent original condition with no damage or marks. It has been rewired using black braided flex and a new plug fitted with a 13amp fuse.
