A Charles X mantel clock in a gilt and patinated bronze case, surmounted by an oval half-fluted neoclassical vase with gilt handles, over a gilt cornice with stylised acanthus leaves with a white enamel dial within a ring surround of roses in gilt bronze, the dial with Roman numerals in black with an outer minute track, and with an inner calendar with Arabic numerals around an engine turned centre, with Breguet hands and an arrow calendar hand, over a plinth base with highly stylised anthemions and classical motifs, and raised on square gilt bronze feet. The clock has an eight day silk suspension, two train movement with an outside count wheel striking the hours and half hours on a bronze bell, and with a calendar function. French, circa 1825. Supplied with a key.

Condition: Excellent, the clock is in very good condition, the gilding is bright and all present, the dark patinated case is in good condition, there are two small hairline cracks to the dial but these are not significant. The movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in good working order.
