An early 20th century bedroom clock timepiece, the arch shaped case with lacquered Chinoiserie decoration principally in gold with silver highlights on an ebonised ground, featuring pagodas, trees, figures and floral motifs within a garden setting, on a skirted plinth base decorated with gilt scrolling leaves and raised on compressed brass feet, with a gilt metal bezel with a convex glass over an off-white 3½” dial with Arabic numerals and outer minute track and blued steel moon hands, to a Swiss eight day timepiece movement with a lever escapement. English, with a Swiss movement, circa 1900.
Condition: Overall very good, the clock is in very good condition with no damage or repairs, the case is in very good condition with minimal losses to the decoration, and the movement is in good working condition. Overall a charming and elegant most importantly quiet clock that is perfect for a bedroom, with elegant proportions and styling.
