A late 19th century French carriage clock timepiece in a gilt brass case.


A late 19th century French carriage clock timepiece in a gilt brass case, the Corniche case with a swing handle over a bevelled rectangular viewing glass over the English lever escapement, with a 2” white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black and an outer minute track, and with blued steel Breguet hands, to an eight day two train movement striking the hours and half hours on a bell. French, made for the English market, circa 1880. Supplied with a key.

Condition: Excellent, the clock is in very good condition with no marks to the case, the dial is in perfect condition and the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in good working order. The bell has a nice clear sound and the clock has a nice patina to it.
