A George III Fruitwood Side Table

This item has been sold.

A small and charming provincial George III side table in fruitwood, the rectangular top with rounded edge over a frieze drawer with circular loop handles and on slender square tapering supports. English, circa 1780.

Condition: Overall the table is in good condition, the top is slightly warped, otherwise the table stands well with no undue wobbling, the drawer runs smoothly, and the handles are original. The timber is probably a mix of apple and plum, and overall the table has a charming, honest appearance and a great deal of character.
