A George III Mahogany and Elm Tilt Top Tripod Table

£795

A George III tripod table in mahogany and elm.

A George III tripod table in mahogany and elm, the circular mahogany top with dished border and tilt action with an iron catch underside, over a turned elm cannon barrel shaft with a turned ring over a fluted block and with a cabriole tripod. English, circa 1780.

Condition: Overall good, the table is in good condition, however the top is not entirely flat, and the feet on the tripod have in two cases been augmented with leather at some point, at least 150 years ago, giving it a certain unusual charm. Otherwise the table stands well and has a very pleasing appearance and colour.
