A George III mahogany tea caddy.


A George III mahogany tea caddy, the hinged cover with a shaped brass handle over a flat rectangular top with cavetto moulding opening to an interior with three sections and a rear section and with a shaped brass lock escutcheon to the front, raised on ogee feet. English, circa 1770.

Condition: Overall very good, the caddy is in very good condition with no damage to the box, the handle is the original, the original pewter canisters are missing as is the teaspoon rack at the back, however overall the caddy has a lovely appearance and a very pleasing colour.
