A George III silver sugar basket, the oval basket with reeded swing handle and gilded interior, and with later chased decoration consisting of fruit, flowers, foliage on a matted ground, and with a vacant escutcheon to each side and with C scrolls to the ends on a plain spreading foot. London 1796 by Henry Chawner.
Condition: Excellent, the piece is in very good condition and stands well. The hallmarks are clear and well struck, and the handle bears a lion passant part mark. The piece has excellent colour.
