A fine George III silver wine coaster, the circular coaster with a ropetwist border over a band of scrolling floral motifs and birds with two vacant cartouches and a plinth base, around a plain mahogany base inset to the centre with an oxbone button. London 1780 by Edward Lowe.
Condition: Overall very good, the coaster is in very good condition with no damage, splits or losses the the silver, the cartouches appear to have never been engraved, the mahogany base appears to be the original and has marks and wear consistent with age, the oxbone button appears to be original and unengraved. The marks are clear and legible, and overall the piece has a lovely colour and appearance associated with English Georgian silver.
