An unusual George III longcase clock of small proportions in a mahogany case, the Fromanteel style hood with a recessed pediment over turned side columns and a square door with circular glazed aperture to the 6” brass dial with a chapter ring with Roman numerals in black and half-hour markers and inner track, plain black hands and single winding arbour, to an eight day weight driven timepiece movement with a pendulum, over a slender case with a flamed hinged locking door with ebony key escutcheon, on a plinth base raised on small ogee feet. English, circa 1790. Supplied with a winding key, door key, and pendulum.

Condition: Overall very good, the case is in very good condition with no major blemishes, the door has a very old repair to the inside, the weight might be a replacement, the line is a replacement, the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in full working condition. Overall the clock has a very pleasing appearance and the case has a wonderful colour and patina.
