After George Morland: an oil painting on canvas of cattle and sheep in a landscape with two figures to the right, the beasts resting on the edge of a wooded path by a fence, with in the background a river and a built settlement, under a partly clouded sky, in a moulded black and giltwood frame. English circa 1780.
Canvas size: 27.9 x 36.8 cm (11” x 14.5”)
Condition: Excellent, the painting is in extremely good condition, having received a gentle clean at some point in the last twenty years. The canvas does not appear to have been relined but is in very good condition. The frame is later but in keeping with the painting.
