A mid Victorian biscuit barrel in cut crystal and with silver plated mounts, the top with swing handle and with a circular cover mounted to the centre with a simulated rope and a rectangular label engraved ‘Biscuits’ and with a plated rim, over a barrel shaped crystal body etched with ferns in the naturalistic style, and with a star cut base. English, circa 1870.
Condition: Excellent, the piece is in very good condition with no cracks or chips to the crystal, and the silver mounts are clean and bright. The mounts have been replated.
