A late 19th century French gilt brass carriage clock.


A late 19th century French gilt brass carriage clock, in a satin gilt Corniche case with bevelled glass sides and white enamel dial with Roman numerals with outer minute markers, and with Breguet hands, marked with the retailers mark of BIGELOW KENNARD BOSTON, with a swing handle and a bevelled oval viewing glass to the cylinder escapement, and with an eight day timepiece movement. French, retailed in the United States of America, circa 1880. Supplied with its original key.

Condition: Overall very good, the clock is in good original condition with no damage to the dial, and with its original platform. The case is in good condition with little signs of wear to the gilding and no signs of polishing. The movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and the clock is in full working order.
