A late 19th century dial clock, the mahogany surround with rounded edge and brass bezel, with an off-white painted 12” dial with Roman numerals in black with an outer minute track and black steel hands, with to the centre A & S.W. DAVIES. 57, SHIP STREET BRIGHTON, with an 8 day English fusee timepiece movement, pendulum and keys.

Condition: Overall very good, the case is in very good condition with good patina and colour, the dial is in its original condition with a couple of very minor areas of paint loss but is otherwise stable. The movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in full working condition.

A & SW Davies were gun merchants in Brighton and this clock was the shop’s clock, until it was sold to a local farmer, from whence it lately came.
