A late 19th century French gilt brass carriage clock in a Corniche case.


A late 19th century French gilt brass carriage clock in a Corniche case, with a swing handle over an oval bevelled viewing glass to the lever escapement, with a white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black with outer minute markers and blocks at five minutes, with blued steel spade hands, to an eight day two train movement striking the hours and half hours on a coiled gong, within a gilt brass case with bevelled plates to each side, supplied with a key. French, circa 1880.

Condition: Excellent, the clock is in very good condition, the case has most of its gilding with few noticeable marks, the dial is undamaged and the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled, and the clock is in excellent working order. Overall it has good proportions and has a good clear dial.
