A late 19th century French brass carriage clock.


A late 19th century French brass carriage clock, with a swing handle over an oval bevelled viewing glass to the silvered lever escapement, and with a white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black with outer minute markers and blued steel spade hands, and with a subsidiary alarm dial below, to an eight day quarter striking two train grande sonnerie movement with a repeater, having an alarm function with a sonnerie/silence selection button, all within a Corniche case with bevelled glass panels. French, circa 1890.

Condition: Excellent, the clock is in very good condition; the case is clean and free from any undue marks, the glass panels are all in good condition, the dial is undamaged and the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled, and is in excellent working order.
