A late 19th century Irish dressing table stool in the George II style.


A late 19th century Irish dressing table stool in the George II style, the stuffover seat with gadroon edge and with bold cabriole supports profusely carved at the knee with bows and ribbons on a matted ground in the Irish Chippendale fashion, and with ball and claw feet. Upholstered in a French flocked velvet material. Irish, circa 1880.

Condition: Excellent, the stool is in very good condition and is solid and robust, and the timber has good colour, with excellent crisp carving. The material is in good condition with no apparent wear or marks.
