A fine late 19th century bracket clock timepiece in the George III style.


A fine late 19th century bracket clock timepiece in the George III style, the balloon shaped case in well figured mahogany with a line of boxwood stringing around the hinged cast brass bezel opening to a 7” silvered dial with Roman numerals in black, outer minute track and with black pierced steel hands, over a panel of satinwood and boxwood inlay depicting crossed flaming torches held together with a bow and with flowers entwined, on a plinth base with similar inlay of stylised flowers, raised on brass bracket feet, and to the rear having a door revealing an English eight day fusee movement with a pendulum. English, circa 1890. Supplied with door key and winding key.
Condition: Excellent, the clock is in extremely good condition and the movement has been serviced and overhauled. The inlays are in excellent condition and the clock has scale and presence.
