A late Victorian Doulton Lambeth stoneware ‘Harvest’ jug, with a silver rim over a brown and buff salt glazed body and featuring applied moulded vignettes of men sitting at tables smoking a pipe, with hounds chasing a deer, and a windmill, with an applied handle with a decorative strap and acanthus leaf terminal, English, the hallmark for Birmingham 1895 and with the maker’s mark of Thomas Hayes, and marked to the underside ‘DOULTON LAMBETH ENGLAND’.
Condition: Excellent, the jug is in very good condition with no chips or cracks, the handle is not cracked at the base, the silver is in very good condition and the marks are reasonably clear and legible.
