A late Victorian mantel clock timepiece in a mahogany case.


A late Victorian mantel clock timepiece in a mahogany case, the ogee shaped case with boxwood and ebony strung inlay, brass columns to the corners and with a gilt brass bezel over a 3.5” white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black with an outer minute track with fifteen minute markers, and with a French eight day movement with a lever escapement by Richard et Compagnie, the dial marked Depree and Young Ltd Exeter, and raised on brass bracket feet. Supplied with a winding key.

Condition: Excellent, the clock is in very good condition, the gilding to the bezel is excellent, the dial is in excellent condition, the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in good working order. The firm of Depree and Young were retail jewellers in Exeter.
