A mid 20th century Turkey carpet, the central medallion in madder with chamfered corners and with six stars around smaller medallions with geometric shapes, in an off-white field with squares in blues, pinks and greens, and with an inner guard stripe of navy blue with diamonds, and a broad border with repeating geometric shapes in green, red and blue on a pink ground and with an outer guard stripe of red with blue and green twist, tasselled ends. Turkish, circa 1960’s.
Condition: Overall very good, the carpet is free from tears or repairs, there are one or two shadow marks on it otherwise it is fairly clean, the colours are good with a nice contrast of pastels with more vibrant hues. Professional cleaning can be arranged.
