An mid 20th century oil painting on canvas of a Venetian canal scene in the modern impressionist style, showing a figure embarking on a gondola opposite the side door of a palazzo, with two other boats in the water, and with an intersection to the background, under a sunlit sky, in a painted, dry scraped frame with a gilt slip, monogrammed RW (?) lower left. Possibly by an English hand, circa 1930’s.
