A Mid 20th Century Walnut Clock by Garrards

A mid 20th century mantel clock in a burr walnut case, with a brass carrying handle over a pagoda top and with chamfered corners with a 3.25” dial within a square brass frame, with silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and outer minute track, ornate black steel hands and with cast putto spandrels, and matted centre with engraved leaves, marked Garrards & Co Ltd, 112 Regent Street, London, and below ‘An Elliott Clock’, with to the back a circular bakelite plate covering the eight day movement, with a winder, a button for turning the hands and slow/fast adjuster, and with a slightly later presentation plate above. English, circa 1930’s.
Condition: Overall very good, the clock has been serviced and overhauled and is in full working condition. The case is in very good condition apart from some small scuffs to the base.
