A fine mid Victorian silver jug in the Rococo style.


A fine mid Victorian silver jug in the Rococo style, the upper section with cut edges and applied handle with double C scrolls with flat chased decoration to the baluster shaped body richly chased with scrolls and floral motifs and with two cartouches, one with a crest and the other with an extensive coat of arms in the 18th century style, raised on scrolling foliate feet. London 1869 by Alfred Ivory for Turners of New Bond Street.

Condition: Overall very good, the piece is in excellent condition with no dents or scratches or splits and it stands well, the decoration is reasonably crisp and the engravings are both clear and should be traceable. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Overall the piece has a great appearance and colour.
