A pair of late Qing Dynasty ginger jars, each stoneware pottery vase with its original flat cover decorated with rural scenes, loosely fitted to the ovoid jar decorated with pagodas and trees in a mountainous setting, the dark blue decoration on a duck-egg blue ground, unmarked, Chinese, circa 1870.
Condition: Excellent, both vases are in excellent condition with no damage or repairs, the covers fit loosely but are the originals, overall the vases have a lovely colour and appearance with their bold decoration.
