A pair of early 20th century Majolica vases, each based on stylised neoclassical amphora and formed from stacked ropetwist cords in a baluster shape with plain reeds in between each band, and with four bold handles to each, in a richly coloured monochromatic green glaze, marked indistinctly underneath ‘CLARIS’, probably French, circa 1920.
Condition: Excellent, both vases are in very good condition with no damage, cracks or chips, the glaze on each is in excellent condition and they both have a great appearance with wonderful colour and bold styling.
