A substantial pair of mid 19th century Italian altar style candlesticks in the late 18th century style, each with a copper pan fitted with a pricket over a turned wood shaft with bobbins and reeding, raised on a domed fluted base. Italian, circa 1860.
Condition: Overall very good, each candlestick is in good condition with some paint loss commensurate with age and use, and each has a heavy crusting of old wax, which adds to their charm.
