A pair of mid 20th century console tables in the Chinese style, each painted light blue, with a rectangular top with inset glass panels and with a gilt line within, over a pierced frieze set with a late 19th century Chinese carved wooden panel decorated with figures in an interior with gilt highlights, on square supports with sabot feet. English, circa 1950.
Condition: Overall very good, both tables are in very good condition and are solid, and they both stand well. The glass tops are both in good condition with no chips or losses. The paint is generally in good condition with one or two small areas of loss, which we have decided not to touch up. The inset panels are both in excellent condition.
