A pair of Regency candlesticks in Old Sheffield Plate, each with a detachable drip pan with broad gadroon edge fitting into bobbin sconce over a shaft with a gadroon top tapering down to foliate motifs over a spreading foot. English, circa 1815.
Condition: Excellent; the candlesticks are in very good condition and reflect the beauty of Old Sheffield Plate, with a little ‘bleeding’ – copper showing through the silver layer – and with a lovely bright colour.
