A pair of Regency Old Sheffield Plate wine coasters, each circular coaster with a lightly flared rim and an applied gadroon edge over convex sides and on a plain foot, and with a turned mahogany base with an unmarked silver button cartouche to the centre, engraved with a period crest of a hand over initials. English, circa 1810.
Condition: Overall very good, both coasters are in very good condition; both have retained their shape and the wooden bases are secure, the engraved cartouches are clear and the plating is in good condition, with only minor wear commensurate with their age.
