A pair of 19th century French tôle peinte glass rinsers or jardinieres, each oval steel container with a repeating shaped edge over lightly tapering sides with twin loop handles, and painted with a repeating foliate motif in creams and umbers on a black ground, French, early 19th century.
Condition: Overall good, each container is in good condition with no damage to the metal, however each has some rust and paint loss (one more than the other) consistent with their age, but overall they make a pretty pair of planters.
