A Regency Mahogany Pipe Rack

£950

An unusual Regency pipe rack in mahogany.

An unusual Regency pipe rack in mahogany, the crested back pierced with holes to facilitate hanging, with a small recessed shelf pierced with holes at random intervals for pipes, with shaped sides and a locked drop-flap opening to reveal three drawers each with an integral turned handle. English, circa 1810. Supplied with a key.

Condition: Excellent, this piece is in very good condition with the exception of a tiny loss to the handle of the centre drawer. The key is probably a replacement. Overall, the piece has a lovely colour and warm patina combined with wonderfully grained timber. It would make a terrific spice rack and salt box.
