A set of four mid Victorian silver salt cellars.

A set of four mid Victorian silver salt cellars, each a cauldron shaped vessel with a flared rim with beaded edge over a body chased with flowers and with a crested cartouche and with gilded interiors, raised on three hoof feet. Sheffield 1861 by Martin, Hall and Company, made at their Shrewsbury Works in Sheffield.

Condition: Overall very good, each salt cellar is in good condition with no significant dents and with wear and use commensurate with their age. They are free from any significant salt damage. We do not recommend leaving salt in contact with silver for longer than twelve hours.
