An elegant early 20th century mahogany writing table in the Sheraton Revival style, the rectangular top with moulded edge and narrow crossbanded border in rosewood, over a frieze drawer flanked by two deeper drawers forming a kneehole, each drawer with cockbeaded edges and with brass loop handles, raised on square tapering supports. English circa 1910.
Condition: Excellent, the table is in very good condition with no damage or repairs, the drawers all run smoothly and overall the piece stands well. It has a well figured top as well as a beautifully rippled timber on the drawer fronts, making for a striking, yet delightfully restrained piece of furniture with elegant proportions.
