A fine late 20th century carriage clock in a hallmarked silver case.


A fine late 20th century carriage clock in a hallmarked silver case, the geometric design handle with fluted crossbar over a rectangular bevelled viewing glass over the lever escapement, and with a moulded cornice with columns to the corners, bevelled glass plates to the front, sides and back door and on a plinth base, with a 2.25” white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black and outer minute markers, black spade hands and marked Charles Frodsham London to the centre, within a silver mask decorated with flowers and scrolling motifs, and with an eight day two train movement with eleven jewels striking the hours on a bell with a repeating function, marked to the backplate Charles Frodsham London, and bearing the hallmarks for London 1978. Condition: The clock is in excellent condition with no marks or scratches to the silver case; and the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in full working order. The repeater function works as it should, and the case has been fully hallmarked, with all separate parts having part-marks.
