A William IV rosewood torchère of small proportions.


A William IV rosewood torchère of small proportions, the turned dished circular top with rounded edge over a moulded socle, fitted to a slender fluted baluster with a gathering ring a the top, on a turned circular disk base on a flat tripod with a concave moulded edge and raised on slender fluted bracket feet, with a lobed floral counterweight underneath. English, circa 1830.

Condition: Excellent, the torchère is in very good condition with no breaks or other damage, the feet are all in excellent condition and the piece stands well, and overall it has a great colour and grain with a pleasing patina, and with a strong appearance for a relatively small piece. Being solid rosewood it is quite heavy.
