A mid Victorian cast iron doorstop, the heavy doorstop with a loop handle over a twisted stem fitted to a cast iron bell shaped block decorated as a reversed stylised acanthus flower with a plain edge and painted black, stamped to the back 489 and A K & SONS, English, circa 1860.
Condition: Excellent, the doorstop is in very good condition with no damage or repairs, the paint is mostly all present with some very small losses consistent with age, overall this useful piece has a fun appearance and a good weight.
