A mid Victorian jewellery box in figured walnut, the rectangular hinged cover with a raised oblong tablet on a geometric chamfered top and moulded edge, over lightly tapering sides, opening to an interior lined in Royal blue velvet and with a lift-out tray over a divided compartment, with a moulded plinth base raised on circular compressed feet. English, circa 1860. Supplied with its original key.
Condition: Overall very good, the box is in very good condition with no repairs, there is a small fissure to the cover on the left hand side at the back, the interior was probably been relined at some point but certainly not recently and is in very good condition, the lock works well and overall the box has a great appearance and pleasing colour.
