Condition: Overall very good, the painting is in excellent condition with fresh and vibrant colours, the canvas is in good condition. The frame has one or two small scuffs on it.

Axel Bredsdorff was born in 1883 and died in 1947. He trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and then at the Free School in Denmark, followed by travels to Italy and France, where he trained in Paris at the Academie Colarossi. He developed a style that is distinctly Danish, a blend of impressionism and naturalism, and is known particularly for painting landscapes and genre paintings, as well as some portraits and nudes.
