An early 19th century Japanese fine china bowl, the bowl decorated with a plain edge and decorated around the outside with two shaped panels of flowering trees, within panels of stylised carnations with gilt decoration, and with extensive floral sprays to the inside edge and a flowering plant in the base, raised on a collet foot decorated with repeating scrolls, marked to the underside with an unascribed blue underglaze mark. Japanese, circa 1830.
Condition: Excellent, the bowl is in very good condition with no damage, cracks or chips, the decoration is in excellent condition with no losses to the gilding, overall the piece is a really lovely example of earlier Japanese Imari porcelain.
