An early 19th century Old Paris breakfast cup and saucer, the white paste cup with a lightly flared rim and with a band of jewelled motifs on a maroon ground within lines of gilding, and painted with sprays of flowers featuring roses, bluebells, and chrysanthemums, on a wide saucer similarly decorated with a daffodil, pansies and foliage. French, circa 1820.

Condition: Overall very good, both cup and saucer are in good condition with no chips, the cup has a crossed hairline to the underside (not visible inside) and there is some wear to the gilding on the rim of the cup, however both parts are in very good condition for their age.
