This item has been sold.

An unusual early 19th century Old Sheffield Plate teapot of octagonal form, the finial over a domed lid in the pagoda style to a straight sided octagonal body richly engraved with scrolling designs with one having a vacant cartouche onto a square of let-in silver, on a plinth base with a scrolled handle and straight tapering octagonal spout. English, circa 1830.
Condition: Overall very good, there is some plate wear commensurate with the age of the teapot, however this is not significant. The handle is secure and the piece has a pleasing colour and patina.
