An early 20th century Italian baroque style giltwood desk lamp, the bulbholder fitted to a faux candle to a large sconce richly carved with stiff leaves over a fluted baluster on a heavily carved base with further carved leaves and a spreading circular foot with bold carved fluting, Italian circa 1920.
Condition: Excellent, the lamp is in very good condition with no damage or repairs, there is a little wear and fading to the gilding consistent with age, and it has been rewired using braided flex and a new plug fitted with a 3amp fuse. Overall it has a bold appearance and great scale.
