An Early Victorian Cut Crystal Jug

£265

An early Victorian cut crystal table jug.

An early Victorian cut crystal table jug, the slender neck with oblong cuts over an inverted ovoid body with an engraved trail of entwined flowers over boldly cut overlapping panels each with an etched flower and leaves, and with strawberry hatching in the overlaps, on a foot with a star cut base, and with a plain applied handle. English, circa 1840.

Condition: Excellent, the jug is in extremely good condition with no chips or cracks, and the crystal is clear and bright, and the cutting is crisp and sharp. We do not recommend using jugs as vases.
