An Edwardian ‘Balloon’ mantel clock timepiece in a mahogany case.


An Edwardian ‘Balloon’ mantel clock timepiece in a mahogany case with a strung ropework edge in boxwood and mahogany, a brass bezel and lightly convex glass over a 3.5” white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black with an outer minute track with quarter hour markers in red, and with blued steel Breguet hands, to a Swiss eight day timepiece movement with a lever escapement and fixed winder and hands button, marked with a snowflake (probably for Buren) and standing on a plinth base with brass bun feet. English, with a Swiss movement, circa 1900.

Condition: Excellent, the clock is in very good condition, with all the inlay present and correct, there is a small piece of enamel missing at 12 o’clock, the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled, and the clock is in fully working order.
