A fine Edwardian silver mantel or bedroom clock timepiece of small proportions, the balloon shaped silver case with line engraved decoration around the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, minute track and quarter markers in red and with blued steel hands, inside a silver bezel with a convex glass, over an engraved oval patera on a silver plinth base. To the back a solid door with inside an unsigned French drum movement with an English lever escapement with adjustment and steel winding and hams arbours. Marked to the lower part at the back for Birmingham 1903, with the makers mark of the Douglas Clock Company. English, with a French movement, 1903.
