An Italian Olivewood Centre Table

A late 18th century centre table in olivewood, the hinged rectangular top profusely inlaid in parquetry with contrasting timbers and with a quarter veneered centre with a neoclassical scrolling floral motif, over a deep frieze inlaid on all four sides with dummy drawer fronts with tulipwood crossbanding and with stylised leaves, on line inlaid square tapering supports with incorporated ebonised sabots. Italian, Lombardy, circa 1780.

Condition: Overall very good, the table stands well and is in very good condition, with no losses to the veneers and no damage, it has had small areas of professional restoration however it is in excellent condition for its age. The table has an excellent colour and patination, and overall has a great appearance.
