A fine William IV Old Sheffield Plate chamberstick.


A fine William IV Old Sheffield Plate chamberstick, the lobed wavy border with a richly cast and applied scrolls and rocailles to the edge and with a handle with shaped thumbpiece with its cone snuffer, to a central stem with a space for the steel and plate trimming scissors, to a bold fluted sconce fitted with a scalloped nozzle. English, circa 1830.

Condition: Overall very good, the piece is in very good condition with very little plate wear and no dents or scratches, both the snuffing cone and trimming scissors are present, and overall it has a lovely colour and appearance.
